Cbus fortress ready for Knights clash on Saturday

Locked in: Cbus stronghold front of mind ahead of Knights showdown

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

The Titans are focused on maintaining their strong home record against the Knights as they prepare to face Newcastle at Cbus Super Stadium.

The team has not lost to the Novocastrians at the venue since 2016, and coach Des Hasler is determined to continue this streak.

The last time these two teams met at Robina in 2022, the Titans emerged victorious with a 36-26 win, thanks in part to a double from AJ Brimson.

Hasler has decided to stick with his 1-19 squad for the upcoming game, making no changes despite cutting Jacob Alick-Wiencke, Tom Weaver, and Ken Maumalo from the extended squad.

The trio will instead play in the Hostplus Cup for their respective teams this weekend.

The game is set to kick off at 6:35pm (AEST) on Saturday at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast.
