The Catalans Dragons will commemorate their 20th anniversary in the Super League by going head-to-head with the Wigan Warriors in Paris on June 6, 2026.
The match will take place at Stade Jean Bouin, the home of Stade Français and Paris FC, mirroring their encounter at Camp Nou in 2019.
This event also coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Super League, which began in Paris when Paris Saint-Germain faced Sheffield Eagles at Stade Charléty in 1996.
Catalans Dragons' President Bernard Guasch expressed enthusiasm about the occasion, stating, "It will mark the return of professional rugby league to the capital and I have no doubt it will be an emotional occasion, both for French and English fans.
We will also be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the club."
Guasch further reflected on the evolution of the sport, noting, "What a journey it has been for the competition and the sport since that first PSG match at Stade Charléty on a winter evening back in 1996.
Today, the Dragons are an integral part of the Super League and represent an undeniable force."
He described the 2026 event as a significant milestone for their club, emphasizing the choice of Wigan, calling them "the greatest club of them all," to highlight the best of rugby league to the Paris audience.
Guasch expressed confidence that French rugby league will unite for the event, which he hopes will be "festive, vibrant and welcoming just like Catalans Dragons."
