Jacinta Carter, a new recruit for the Sharks, is excited about her fresh start after leaving the Knights.

With aspirations of securing a starting position in Cronulla's forward pack, her move has rekindled her passion for rugby league.

Carter recently made her debut with the Sharks in a 12-all trial draw against the Roosters, starting in the front row alongside Ellie Johnston.

She is focused on maintaining this role for the upcoming Round 1 clash against the Eels at Sharks Stadium on July 3.

The Queensland-born prop appreciates the unique training environment with the Sharks, especially under head coach Tony Herman, whose expertise has impressed her.
