Avery-Rose Carmont has been confirmed as the final signing for the Warriors' return to the NRLW competition this season.

The 23-year-old hooker, hailing from the Ōtāhuhu Leopards, fills the last spot on the 24-player roster as the team prepares for preseason training.

This marks the Warriors' first NRLW campaign since 2000.

In addition to Carmont, Warriors NRLW head coach Ron Griffiths announced the recruitment of Aucklanders Sharnyze Pihema and Ivana Lautitiiti on development contracts.

Both players have strong rugby league heritage; Carmont's father, George, had a successful career with the Newcastle Knights, Wigan Warriors, and Sāmoa, while Lautitiiti's father, the legendary Ali Lauitiiti, played over 400 games for the NZ Warriors, Leeds Rhinos, and Wakefield Wildcats, in addition to representing the Kiwis and Sāmoa.

Griffiths noted that Carmont had been on the club's radar for some time prior to her signing.
