Kurt Capewell has been recalled to the Queensland Maroons squad for the second State of Origin match against New South Wales at Optus Stadium in Perth on June 18.
This decision follows the Maroons' 6-18 defeat in Game I at Suncorp Stadium on May 28.
Head coach Billy Slater has made several changes to the lineup, which notably excludes long-time Queensland halfback Daly Cherry-Evans.
Joining Capewell in the 20-man squad are Corey Horsburgh, Jack Howarth, and Ezra Mam.
Notable omissions from the extended Origin I squad include Beau Fermor, Jesse Arthars, and Kulikefu Finefeuiaki.
Capewell, 31, has excelled with the New Zealand Warriors this season, filling in as a starting centre four times due to injuries in the team's outside backs.
His performance in the Warriors' recent 40-10 victory over Cronulla Sutherland was commendable, marking his 170th NRL appearance with a wholehearted effort.
