In a recent NRL team update, it was confirmed that Kurt Capewell will not be playing for the NZ Warriors in their crucial round 19 match against the Wests Tigers at Go Media Stadium.

Capewell, celebrating his 32nd birthday, was initially included in the 22-man squad but has since been omitted.

This decision follows his participation in the State of Origin series decider where he delivered a solid performance during the Maroons' 24-12 victory.

Head coach Andrew Webster decided against utilizing Capewell for this game, opting to rest him.

Alongside Capewell, prop Bunty Afoa and winger Edward Kosi have also been excluded from the final lineup.

With first-choice fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad sidelined due to a knee injury, Tuaupiki will step into the role for his 21st career appearance, marking his 10th of the season.

Notably, he had previously started at fullback in a round seven win over the Broncos and played on the wing in his other matches this season.

The match is set for a 4:00 PM kickoff at a sold-out stadium.
