The Canterbury Bulldogs have been hit hard by the wild Sydney storms, leaving their training base in Belmore looking more like a swimming pool than a rugby league field.
The club is now scrambling to find a temporary base as Belmore Sports Ground has been left underwater from the torrential downpour.
The Bulldogs were forced to evacuate their facilities after being swamped by over a metre of water, causing significant damage to their offices.
General Manager Phil Gould gave an update on the situation, initially announcing the postponement of the NSW Cup game before rallying the troops to clean up the change rooms and push forward with the match.
"Belmore is under water," Gould exclaimed, as the club faced a challenging situation reminiscent of a tough match against a fierce opponent.
The Bulldogs will need to regroup and adapt to the circumstances, much like a team facing adversity on the field.
Despite the setback, the Bulldogs remain determined to push through the storm and continue to fight for success, showing the resilience and spirit that is synonymous with rugby league culture.
They will need to band together and weather the storm, just like champions of the past have done in similar situations.
