The Canterbury Bulldogs are facing more injury troubles as another player from their Top 30 roster finds themselves on the sidelines.
According to a report from zerotackle.com, Bulldogs GM of Football Phil Gould took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to confirm that up-and-coming halfback Mitchell Woods suffered a hamstring injury in January.
This setback kept Woods out of the team's first two pre-season matches, leaving his return date uncertain.
Gould emphasized the need to be cautious with Woods' injury, hinting that the club will not rush him back onto the field.
"Suffered a hamstring injury in January...His second such injury of the summer...Giving him extra rehab time this time around...Being ultra conservative...No hurry with Mitchell," Gould explained.
Despite being born in 2006, Woods has already made an impact with the Bulldogs and is aiming to make his NRL debut in the coming seasons.
This latest injury will be a hurdle for the young player, but with proper care and rehabilitation, he will hopefully be back on the field soon.
