A seething NRL coach has launched a scathing attack on the match officials following a controversial incident involving Canterbury Bulldogs skipper Stephen Crichton on Friday night.
Crichton is now facing the possibility of a NRL ban after a high shot that left Warriors centre Roger Tuivasa-Sheck sidelined for the season.
Despite being placed on report, Crichton was allowed to stay on the field, much to the dismay of many Rugby League fans.
The Bulldogs managed to secure a 34-18 victory over the Warriors after trailing 18-16 at halftime.
However, just five minutes into the second half, the game was marred by controversy.
Tuivasa-Sheck was tackled by three Bulldogs players, with Crichton appearing to come in from the side with what looked like a shoulder charge, sparking outrage among fans and commentators alike.
This incident has left the Bulldogs skipper in hot water and facing a potential suspension from the NRL.
The coach's fiery response only adds fuel to the fire, setting the stage for a heated debate within the Rugby League community.
