Wagga Wagga has not hosted an NRL competition match since 2023, but discussions are continuing about bringing NRL content to the Riverina in 2027.
The Canberra Raiders welcomed Wagga Wagga City Council's decision last night to continue negotiations with the club.
Both the Raiders and Council are keen to explore the opportunity.
The club is also discussing its allocation of home matches for the 2027 season with the NRL, while talks with Council proceed.
The Raiders said they value their connection to the Riverina and thanked Council for its ongoing support in hosting matches.
The club will provide further updates once the discussions are finalised.
