The Canberra Raiders have locked in rising star Peter Taateo for another two years, securing him a spot in the Top 30 squad.
Taateo, who has been tearing up the NSW Cup with 24 impressive appearances this season, has proven himself on the field and earned himself a promotion from his train and trial deal.
According to insider sources at Zero Tackle, Taateo's new contract will see him on a development deal for the upcoming season before officially joining the Top 30 roster in 2026.
The 22-year-old made the move to Canberra last year, after stints in the Parramatta Eels and Penrith Panthers systems.
Hailing from a strong rugby league background as a former Under-16s NSW representative, Taateo has showcased his skills on the field with five tries, 43 tackle busts, eight offloads, 370 tackles, and averaging 85 running metres per game.
With his hard-hitting playing style and determination, Taateo is sure to make a big impact in the Raiders' lineup for years to come.
