"Can the Broncos Bounce Back Without Hunt?"

Broncos face massive Mam call after Hunt injury

Broncos coach Michael Maguire is facing a significant decision regarding Ezra Mam's position following a hamstring injury to veteran five-eighth Ben Hunt, which may jeopardize Hunt's State of Origin selection.

According to reports from au.news.yahoo.com, the Broncos' disappointing second-half performance against the Rabbitohs has intensified Maguire's concerns as he prepares to name his side for the upcoming match against the Dragons.

Hunt exited the game late in the second half while pursuing an Adam Reynolds kick, making Mam the likely candidate to step into the halves if he successfully returns from his own suspension during Sunday's Queensland Cup game for Souths Logan.

Mam's suspension was the result of a serious incident where he crashed his car while driving without a license and under the influence of drugs, injuring both the driver and passengers of the other vehicle.

Maguire had initially planned to shift Hunt to hooker, allowing Mam to take his place in the halves.

However, with Hunt's injury complicating matters, he is now forced to reconsider his strategy.

"I'll go through this game before we get to that," he stated when questioned about whether Mam would come straight into the team.
