Reed Mahoney has downplayed his chances of being selected for the Maroons after an impressive comeback victory against the Raiders, which he attributes to the inspiration provided by coach Cameron Ciraldo and captain Stephen Crichton.
According to nrl.com.au, the Bulldogs were trailing 20-0 during a high-stakes match in front of Canberra's largest regular season crowd in 30 years.
However, they staged a remarkable second half comeback to secure a 32-20 win.
Crichton played a pivotal role in this turnaround, scoring a try in the 45th minute and assisting in two others, helping the Bulldogs score 32 unanswered points and take the lead by the 58th minute.
This performance is being hailed as one of the finest in his career.
