Innes Senior's outstanding performance led Wakefield Trinity to a resounding victory over Warrington Wolves, bolstering their chances of survival in the Super League.

Senior, in his first match since rejoining Trinity, scored an impressive four tries, including a hat-trick in just 29 minutes of the first half.

Kevin Proctor also contributed with a try, allowing the hosts to establish a commanding 22-0 lead at half-time.

Although Paul Vaughan managed to narrow the gap with a try for Warrington, Wakefield quickly extinguished any hopes of a comeback with scores from Tom Lineham, Liam Hood, Senior, and Max Jowitt.

This fourth consecutive home win brings Trinity level on points with Castleford, who currently occupy the bottom position in the league table, while Warrington finds themselves in sixth place.

The tables have turned for both teams in recent weeks, as Warrington, previously considered pre-season title favorites, started with eight consecutive victories, while Wakefield suffered defeat in their first 14 matches.
