Cam's Comeback: Driven by ACL Injury Pain

'One of my last chances': ACL pain driving Cam's comeback quest

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

The Sharks captain, Cameron McInnes, is fueled by the disappointment of missing last year's finals as he aims to return from an ACL injury in May.

McInnes suffered the injury during Round 24 of the previous season, which sidelined him as the Sharks made a run to the preliminary finals.

This marked the second consecutive year that Cronulla fell just one match short of the grand final, prompting a strong emphasis this summer on advancing further in the postseason.

At 31 years old, McInnes realizes his opportunities to win a premier title are dwindling, making him more determined to lead Cronulla in what is a pivotal year for the club.

He's eager to turn the tide before he retires from the sport.
