The Titans website has announced that Campbell led the Titans to a triumphant victory against the Eels.
The young playmaker, Jayden Campbell, put on a stellar performance, guiding his team to a 24-16 victory over their rivals at Cbus Super Stadium on Saturday night.
In a display reminiscent of Rugby League legends of old, Campbell, playing in the five-eighth position, delivered three impeccable try assists and played a crucial role in a fourth by dislodging the ball from Parramatta winger Jake Tago with a bone-crunching tackle.
Campbell orchestrated the opening two tries of the game for winger Alofiana Khan-Pereira with precision - the first with a perfectly placed overhead pass and the second with a well-timed short ball following quick hands from David Fifita.
Not content with only shining in attack, Campbell showcased his defensive prowess by forcing a crucial error from Tago, leading to a dazzling try from Phil Sami after a powerful run by Fifita.
Despite a momentary lapse from star fullback AJ Brimson, who returned from injury, resulting in a try for Eels forward Luca Moretti, the Titans went into halftime with a commanding 18-6 lead.
Centre Brian Kelly further widened the Gold Coast's advantage by capitalizing on a well-placed grubber kick from Campbell to score in the 55th minute.
However, the resilient Eels fought back into the game, demonstrating the never-say-die spirit that is synonymous with Rugby League.
In a performance that would make Rugby League veterans proud, Campbell's masterful display led the Titans to a well-deserved triumph over the Eels, earning praise and admiration from fans and analysts alike.
