Titans Star Jayden Campbell Accepts Apology from Penrith Trainer
Gold Coast's Jayden Campbell has accepted an apology from the Penrith trainer who controversially interjected during his goal-kicking attempt.
The NRL has proposed a five-week suspension for the trainer, Bocking, along with a $50,000 fine for Penrith due to this incident.
During the game, the Titans were leading 26-24 when Campbell was set to convert a try by Phil Sami. However, Bocking ran in front of him, prompting Campbell to alter his kick, which he ultimately missed. Frustrated, he threw his kicking tee to the ground while Bocking gestured an apology.
The Panthers secured the victory with a score of 30-26 after extra time.
Speaking for the first time about the incident, Campbell addressed the media prior to the Titans' upcoming match against South Sydney, who are currently at the bottom of the league standings.
