Caleb Jackson, a former centre for The Dolphins, has confirmed his new contract, which will see him join a different team for the 2026 season.

After not participating in professional rugby league last season, following two consecutive years with The Dolphins, Jackson has signed on with the Ipswich Jets for the upcoming 2026 QLD Cup reserve-grade season.

The versatile 21-year-old, who can also play on the wing and at fullback, aims to make a strong impression next year as he seeks to secure another contract with an NRL club in the future.

Previously scouted by multiple teams, Jackson, who represented the Under-19s Queensland Maroons, had an impactful performance in the Under-19s State of Origin match against New South Wales Blues in 2024, where he scored one try, provided one try assist, made four tackle busts, achieved one line-break, and ran a total of 107 metres.

The Ipswich Jets have bolstered their lineup with additional signings, including Braydon Guyan and Brenton Baira from Mackay Cutters, Dantoray Lui from Redcliffe Dolphins, Kobe Tararo from Souths Logan Magpies, and Tom McGrath, also from Redcliffe Dolphins.

In addition, the Jets have announced the acquisitions of Ioane Seiuli, a former reserve-grade player with the Penrith Panthers, who joins from the Tweed Seagulls, and Tyran Ott, who has international experience from his time with the Batley Bulldogs, Bradford Bulls, and Dewsbury Rams in the United Kingdom.
