Baby Blue: Caitlan eyes rep recall after comeback with Sharks
After returning to NRLW with the Sharks merely three months following her pregnancy, Caitlan Johnston-Green is focused on reclaiming her Test and Origin jerseys.
Having established herself as a top prop in the sport before her pregnancy last year, Johnston-Green is eager to re-enter the representative scene after welcoming her daughter, Amarah, in May.
During the 2024 State of Origin series, the Jillaroos front-rower played a key role, starting as prop in all matches and scoring a crucial try in Game One, aiding the NSW Blues in their victory.
This season, Johnston-Green signed a three-year contract with the Sharks after a previous stint with the Knights was interrupted by a knee injury, further complicated by her pregnancy delay.
With two grand final victories at Newcastle along with Origin and Test achievements, Johnston-Green aims to strengthen her performance in the latter part of the season with the Sharks, aspiring for a premiership in 2025.
After logging 18 minutes in her Round 8 return against the Titans, she has once again been selected to sit on the bench for Sunday's match in Hamilton against the Warriors.
