Burton Weighs in on NRL to NFL Transition

Billy Gowers, a former AFL star now playing American Football, has shared his thoughts on NRL players making the leap to the NFL.

In an interview on SEN, Gowers expressed skepticism about the ability of rugby league players to meet the demands of an NFL punter.

"I don't think their skill set is as diverse and as skilful as AFL players," he stated. "AFL players just kick so much."

While he has reservations, Gowers did identify one NRL player, Matt Burton, as a strong candidate for a successful transition to punting.

"I'd love to be proven wrong," he remarked, noting the buzz surrounding the Canterbury Bulldogs five-eighth, Matt Burton, on social media.
