Sam Burgess has criticized the video referee's decision to award Tom Davies' last-minute try in the Challenge Cup final, which allowed Hull KR to defeat Warrington.

According to reports from skysports.com, Warrington led 6-2 for most of the second half after Josh Thewlis scored right before halftime, followed by a conversion from Lance Todd winner Marc Sneyd.

In a contentious moment during the 77th minute, Davies touched down following a kick.

The video referee had to assess whether Arron Lindop had successfully grounded the ball before Davies intervened.

Ultimately, the decision was made that Lindop had not grounded the ball with his torso, enabling Davies to score.

"I'm obviously upset about the decision," Wolves head coach Burgess stated.

"I thought it was the wrong decision."

Referee Liam Moore initially ruled the effort a try, and video referee Jack Smith concurred with the final judgment.

The try tied the game at 6-6, leading to a conversion by Mikey Lewis, sealing Hull KR's victory at 8-6.
