In a sporting twist of fate, the illustrious forward and esteemed coach of Warrington Wolves, Sam Burgess, has put to rest any rumors of a second coming at the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Despite his history with the Rabbitohs as both player and assistant coach, Burgess has committed to the Wolves until at least 2026.

The rookie head coach has led his pack to the summit of the English Super League table, displaying a mastery of tactics and strategy that has left opponents in awe.

Yet, whispers of a return to the Rabbitohs next season to glean wisdom from the legendary Wayne Bennett before taking the reins himself had persisted.

However, Burgess, at the ripe age of 35, has boldly declared that two years at the helm will not suffice for his grand ambitions.

"It's great to extend my time at the club," Burgess remarked, quashing any hopes of a swift return to his former stomping ground.

With his eyes fixed firmly on the future, Burgess is determined to carve out his legacy at the Wolves, ensuring his mark on Rugby League history is indelible.
