Burgess rolls the dice on Vegas visa approval

Sam Burgess, the Warrington Wolves coach and South Sydney legend, is currently tackling a visa issue ahead of the NRL's season-opening event in Las Vegas.

Despite some bumps in the road caused by his past driving escapades, Burgess remains confident that he will secure his US visa in time to make the trip to Sin City.

Having pled guilty to three driving offenses last year, Burgess managed to avoid a conviction by completing a traffic offenders program.

Now, he is eagerly awaiting the green light from US authorities to make his journey across the pond.

In a statement to the Sydney Morning Herald, Burgess expressed his optimism about the situation, saying, "I'm the optimist, I'll get to Vegas.

I'll get there, it's just a matter of timing, that's all.

I've been in touch with the folks at the US embassy in London, expressing my gratitude for their efforts.

I understand the process, and it's all in their hands now.

Just need to give it a bit of time and see how things unfold in the next 24 to 48 hours."

With time ticking down, Burgess is hoping to sidestep this visa hurdle and hit the ground running in Las Vegas for the NRL's big season kickoff.
