Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs winger Blake Wilson has announced his exit from the club as he prepares to join a rival team for the 2026 NRL season.
Wilson, one of three uncontracted players at the Bulldogs, has recently found himself slipping down the ranks. This has led to him being overlooked in favor of more seasoned players like Enari Tuala and Marcelo Montoya, as well as newcomer Jethro Rinakama, who has made an impact during the 2025 NRL Finals series after receiving Under-19s NSW Blues honors earlier this season.
As a reliable backup winger, Wilson has confirmed his move to the Manly Sea Eagles on a two-year deal. This transition will put him in competition with Clayton Faulalo, Reuben Garrick, Lehi Hopoate, Tolutau Koula, Jason Saab, and Tom Trbojevic for a position in the back-line.
Having played only six first-grade matches this season, Wilson's decision to join the Sea Eagles follows speculation about a potential move to the Parramatta Eels at the conclusion of the last season.
In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Wilson expressed his gratitude: "Thankyou @nrl_bulldogs for the past 3 years what a ride, from my debut, the highs and lows I wouldn't change any of it!"
