Bulldogs Winger Blake Wilson Joins Rival Club

Canterbury Bulldogs winger Blake Wilson is set to join one of his team's arch-rivals on a two-year deal after receiving no contract extension from the Bulldogs.

Wilson is among five players at the Bulldogs who are uncontracted for the 2026 NRL season. Recently, he has seen his standing diminish within the team.

He has been passed over for experienced players like Enari Tuala and Marcelo Montoya, as well as rookie Jethro Rinakama, who has featured in the last four matches after an impressive performance with the Under-19s NSW Blues earlier this season.

Despite being a capable backup winger, at just 24, Wilson is still early in his career, having made only 27 first-grade appearances.

Nevertheless, the Noosa Pirates junior will leave the Bulldogs at the season's end, seeking a fresh start to secure a consistent position in an NRL team.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Wilson has reached an agreement on a two-year contract to join the Manly Sea Eagles for the next season, enhancing their outside back options.
