The Canterbury Bulldogs have made a promising signing with the acquisition of Roy Tatupu, the talented nephew of former New Zealand Kiwi Tony Tatupu, who will be with the club until the end of the 2025 season.

According to reports from zerotackle.com, the 17-year-old has had an impressive sporting career so far, having represented New Zealand in softball, the Auckland Blues Under-18s in rugby union, and even earning a spot in the nation's Open Men's volleyball squad this year.

Standing tall at 190cm, Tatupu brings his skills as an outside back to the Bulldogs, and it was revealed by WWOS that several other clubs were interested in signing him before Canterbury secured his services.

Phil Gould, a well-known rugby league expert, expressed his excitement about Tatupu's potential, stating that he has shown promising signs during training so far.

Interestingly, Tatupu's uncle, Tony Tatupu, enjoyed a successful rugby league career, playing in 141 games from 1994 to 2001, including two stints with the New Zealand Warriors.
