Canterbury Bulldogs youngster Danny Gabrael may be sidelined for the remainder of the season due to a serious shoulder injury.

According to reports from zerotackle.com, this setback could hinder his chances of making his first-grade debut as planned in 2025.

Phil Gould, the Bulldogs' GM of Football, shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), stating that Gabrael, a train and triallist, might need surgery, which could keep him out for three to six months.

"Danny is in injury rehab at the moment and likely requires shoulder surgery...I will have an update this week," Gould confirmed.

Danny, who is the older brother of Cronulla Sharks rising star Michael Gabrael, had previously won the 2024 Jersey Flegg Cup Grand Final with the Bulldogs and has recently been competing in the NSW Cup as he continues his development.
