Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs legend Bob Hagan has sadly passed away at the age of 85, leaving the rugby league community in a state of mourning on the cusp of the NRL season.
Hagan, a true Bulldogs stalwart, made history as the only man to have played, coached, and led the club as CEO, with his affiliation dating back to 1967.
He was a force to be reckoned with on the field, showcasing his skills in the centres during the Bulldogs' grand final clash with South Sydney in 1967, marking the team's first finals appearance in twenty years.
In his time with the Bulldogs, Hagan played 45 first-grade games, taking on the role of captain 11 times and proudly representing NSW.
His contributions to the club did not go unnoticed, with the Bulldogs expressing their condolences and honoring his memory in a heartfelt statement.
A proud Brisbane native, Hagan had already made a name for himself representing Queensland and Australia in the early 60s before making the move to New South Wales to further his rugby league career.
His impact on the game and the Bulldogs will forever be remembered, with his legacy living on in the hearts of fans and players alike.
Rest in peace, Bob Hagan.
