The Canterbury Bulldogs are facing a significant challenge with their forward depth as they prepare for their Round 14 match against the Parramatta Eels.
Already missing back-rower Sitili Tupouniua due to a five-week suspension, the situation worsened when Tupouniua sustained a hamstring injury during training, as reported by 9News' Danny Weidler.
He is now "expected to be out for an extended period," which adds to the Bulldogs' injury woes, with Jack Todd (arm) and Jaeman Salmon (ankle) also sidelined.
Despite missing the entirety of the pre-season due to injury, Tupouniua has made a remarkable impact in his six appearances this season, proving to be one of the club's standout players when he comes off the bench.
The Bulldogs will have to adjust their strategy as they contend for a strong position in the NRL standings without key contributors in their forward pack.
