In 2025, the Canterbury Bulldogs have undergone significant changes, making them perhaps the most altered team among top four contenders, and more restructuring appears to be on the horizon at Belmore.
Jason Taylor is set to transition from his role as an NRL assistant under Cameron Ciraldo to become the head coach of Canterbury's NSW Cup team, a move confirmed by club General Manager Phil Gould.
This change coincides with Adam O'Brien joining the Bulldogs' coaching staff after leaving the Newcastle Knights. O'Brien's addition is seen as a strategic adjustment, allowing Taylor to leverage his strengths in mentoring and talent development.
As part of this transition, Mick Potter, the former NSW Cup coach, will take on a new position. Gould announced this shift on social media, stating, "Mick is now working in the Academy program with the Academy Coaches."
He further added, "(He is) also looking after junior positional coaching programs."
