Bulldogs Face Injuries Before Magic Round

The Canterbury Bulldogs have announced two alterations to their Magic Round lineup ahead of the matchup against the Cronulla Sharks.

Samuel Hughes and Josh Curran were part of the original squad, but both will be sidelined.

Hughes was set to come off the bench, but a neck injury has unfortunately ruled him out.

Details regarding the origin of the injury remain unclear, but it is believed to have occurred during training this week prior to their trip to Brisbane for what is considered rugby league's most significant regular-season event.

Additionally, the Bulldogs revealed that Josh Curran has also been removed from the game's roster.

Curran was initially named in the traveling 22-man squad but now faces a rib injury. His absence means that he could have been in line for a spot on the bench, especially with Hughes unavailable.

Due to these changes, Canterbury has confirmed that the NRL will permit Jack Underhill to join the squad, which now consists of 21 players.

Jed Reardon has been elevated to the 19th man, while Sean O'Sullivan will now occupy the six-man bench after being initially listed in jersey 22.
