The Canterbury Bulldogs have made a significant announcement regarding their future leadership, confirming that general manager of football Phil Gould and head coach Cameron Ciraldo have been re-signed until the end of 2031.

The Bulldogs have entered a period of substantial transformation since Gould took on the role of general manager. Ciraldo joined the team in 2023, and while his initial season did not yield favorable results, it proved worthwhile for supporters of the club. The Bulldogs made a notable return to the finals last year and have maintained their momentum by securing a spot in the top four this season.

Despite facing challenges in the latter part of the 2025 season, including some contentious selection and recruitment decisions, the Bulldogs finished strong in third place. They are set to face the Melbourne Storm away from home in a qualifying final, with the added benefit of being assured a home semi-final or preliminary final.

Last year, the Bulldogs concluded the season in sixth place but were eliminated in the first week of the finals by the Manly Sea Eagles.

Ciraldo's initial contract with the Bulldogs was a five-year agreement lasting until the end of 2027. With three seasons completed, which included two finals appearances, both Ciraldo and Gould have agreed to new contracts extending through 2031, as reported by the Sydney Morning Herald.
