The Canterbury Bulldogs are defending themselves against allegations from former player Jackson Topine regarding a training incident.

According to reports from zerotackle.com, Topine is claiming up to $4 million in lost earnings, alleging he experienced both physical and mental humiliation at the hands of the Bulldogs.

In 2023, Topine arrived late to a training session and claims he was forced to wrestle with the entire team as a form of punishment.

This reportedly resulted in significant mental and physical distress for him.

Since the incident, Topine has not participated in any NRL games, truncating what appeared to be a promising career that included 16 matches in the NRL and one for the Maori All Stars.
