Match Report: Round 21 vs Bulldogs

The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles faced a heavy defeat, losing 42-4 to the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in Round 21 at Allianz Stadium.

The Bulldogs took an early lead in the thirteenth minute when Manly winger Jason Saab's dropped bomb allowed Hughes to score.

Stephen Crichton successfully converted from the left edge, putting the Bulldogs ahead 6-0.

Twenty minutes into the game, Saab nearly scored following a cross-field kick as Manly entered the Bulldogs' 20-metre zone for the first time.

However, the Bulldogs responded by advancing down the field, benefiting from a penalty and several repeat sets.

They scored their second try around the half-hour mark, exploiting a gap in Manly's left edge defense.

A quick pass from right center Crichton set up Kiraz for the try in the corner.

Crichton's conversion from the sideline brought the Bulldogs' lead to 12-0.

Before halftime, Canterbury's Bronson Xerri was forced to leave the field after suffering a boot to the nose from his teammate, Viliame Kikau.
