In a dominant display, the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs secured a convincing 44-22 victory over the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the Jersey Flegg Qualifying Final at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.

With the win, the Bulldogs now advance to face the Sydney Roosters, the Minor Premiers, in their quest for a spot in the 2023 Jersey Flegg Grand Final.

On the other hand, the Sharks will meet the Parramatta Eels in the Minor Semi-final.

Right from the start, the Bulldogs showed their intent, scoring four tries in the opening 23 minutes to take a commanding 24-0 lead.

The first try came courtesy of second rower Luke Smith, who barged over the line on the left edge.

Fullback Joash Papalii demonstrated his accuracy by successfully converting the try from a difficult angle.

The Bulldogs continued to dominate, with centre Eli Clarke and forward Timothy Johannssen both crossing the try line in quick succession.

Clarke and Johannssen showcased their strength and determination as they powered through the Sharks' defense.

Papalii, who was a constant threat throughout the first half, displayed his skills with both his kicking and running game.

He successfully converted all five tries and even scored one himself in the 23rd minute.

Papalii's contributions were instrumental in the Bulldogs' commanding lead.
