The Canterbury Bulldogs have copped another blow on the injury front ahead of their opening match of the season against the St George Illawarra Dragons, with a new recruit sidelined with an injury.
According to reports from zerotackle.com, outside backs Enari Tuala and Jacob Kiraz have been ruled out for the start of the 2025 NRL season, adding to the Bulldogs' injury concerns.
Adding insult to injury, club legend Phil Gould has confirmed that recruit Sitili Tupouniua will also be missing in action for another month, leaving fans hoping for a return in Round 2.
"Sitili has been putting in the hard yards in rehab for about a month now with an injury...He won't be able to strut his stuff in any trials...Fingers crossed he'll be back for Round 2," Gould shared on X (formerly known as Twitter).
The Bulldogs will have to dig deep and rally together as they prepare to face the Dragons without key players in their lineup.
It's a tough break for the team, but as they say in the game, it's all part of the rough and tumble world of Rugby League.
