The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and the Sydney Roosters are set to make history when they face each other in the Jersey Flegg Cup Grand Final.

This will be the first time these two teams have ever played each other in a decider in the Under 21s competition, which began in 1961.

The Bulldogs, who are the most successful club in the competition with nine premierships, will be looking to add to their impressive tally on Sunday.

Both teams will be chasing a historic win, as it has been 20 years since either club has tasted premiership success in the Jersey Flegg Cup.

The Bulldogs last won the title in 2003, while the Roosters' last triumph came in 2004.

The clash at CommBank Stadium on September 24 promises to be an intriguing one, as both clubs will be eager to claim the ultimate prize.
