Renouf Atoni, a former utility back for the Canterbury Bulldogs and Sydney Roosters, is set to continue his rugby league career after signing a new deal.

According to reports from zerotackle.com, Atoni last played in the NRL in 2022 and will remain overseas in the Super League, transitioning from Wakefield Trinity to the Castleford Tigers, as stated by All Out Rugby League.

His move to Castleford in 2026 follows the club's decision to release hooker Judah Rimbu, a Papua New Guinea international, from his contract by mutual consent.

Atoni was last contracted with the Sydney Roosters in 2022, where he did not make any appearances.

However, he has made over 50 appearances during his three seasons with Wakefield Trinity.

Although Atoni did not play for the Roosters, he had a productive stint with the Bulldogs, participating in 43 first-grade games between 2018 and 2021, where he scored 12 points.
