The North Queensland Cowboys have scored big, picking up 8 Dally M votes in their recent clash against the Titans.

Titans playmaker Lauren Brown is currently leading the charge in the race for the 2024 Dally M Medal, with voting now being done behind closed doors for the rest of the season.

Despite not receiving any votes in the Cowboys' narrow 11-10 victory, Brown maintains a two-point advantage over competitors such as Eels fullback Abbi Church, Sharks lock Brooke Anderson, and Raiders lock Simaima Taufa.

In Round 4, we saw some impressive performances shake up the leaderboard.

Brisbane's Stacey Waaka, an Olympic gold medalist, scored a perfect six votes against Canberra, while Roosters back-rower Olivia Kernick also made a strong showing.

Sharks prop Ellie Johnston made her mark by running for 151 metres in the win over the reigning premiers Newcastle, earning herself four valuable votes.

She now joins Roosters halfback Tarryn Aiken on a total of eight votes.

Last year's Dally M winner, Tamika Upton, managed to secure two votes in Round 4, bringing her total to five votes with five rounds left to play.

The competition is heating up, and anything could happen in the remaining rounds of the season.
