Brooks Open to Position Change for Team

Luke Brooks, the five-eighth for the Manly Sea Eagles, has expressed his willingness to shift to hooker to make room for emerging talents Onitoni Large and Joey Walsh.

Amid mounting pressure on the club, Manly struggled in a trial against the Rabbitohs, despite fielding a nearly full-strength team.

There's a growing consensus that Walsh is poised to take over the starting role from Brooks, especially given the lack of chemistry between him and Jamal Forgarty during the match against South Sydney.

It appears that Walsh and Large are being positioned as the club's future halves combination, with 17-year-old Ashton, Onitoni's brother, showing promise in the SG Ball competition.

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Brooks mentioned that he would consider stepping away from the halves role if it would benefit the team.

"If the club comes and needs it, I need to do what's best for the team, I'll be open to it," Brooks stated to the publication.
