Broncos' woes: 6 weeks ahead, 7 players charged

The report from zerotackle.com is in, and it seems the NRLW season has kicked off with a bang, and not just on the field.

The Match Review Committee (MRC) has dished out charges to seven players, leaving fans and teams reeling from the impact.

Leading the pack is Annetta-Claudia Nuuausala from the Brisbane Broncos NRLW team, who is staring down the barrel of up to six weeks on the sidelines after getting charged twice in a fiery clash against the Parramatta Eels NRLW.

Grade 2 Dangerous Contact and Grade 1 Striking - she's got a tough road ahead.

But Nuuausala isn't the only one feeling the heat.

Teammates Keilee Joseph, Lavinia Gould, and Tazmin Rapana have also been hit with charges.

Gould and Rapana are looking at one to two weeks out, while Joseph might escape with just a warning if she owns up to her actions early on.

Even NSW Blues star Kennedy Cherrington isn't immune to the MRC's wrath.

A Grade 1 Contrary Conduct charge from the Broncos-Eels showdown means she could be sidelined for a couple of matches, adding to the woes of the already embattled Broncos squad.

It's a rough start to the season for the Broncos, but as they say in Rugby League, it's not about how you start, but how you finish.

With six weeks looming for Nuuausala, the team will need to rally together and show some true grit if they want to come out on top in the NRLW 2024 season.
