The Brisbane Broncos have announced that Ben Te Kura has received permission to join a six-week program aimed at honing his skills for a potential transition to the NFL.
This towering forward, who measures 205cm, currently holds the title of the tallest player in the NRL. He will participate in a specialized NFL training camp, after which he may either return to the Broncos or opt for an extended leave to pursue his ambitions in gridiron football.
Te Kura's impressive physical attributes make him an attractive candidate for NFL scouts, echoing the journey of former Rabbitoh Jordan Mailata, who attended an NFL pathways program before being drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2018.
Mailata has since become one of the highest-paid Australian athletes, and Te Kura aims to follow a similar trajectory.
At just 22 years old, Te Kura is set to refine his athletic abilities with the goal of earning a spot on the roster of one of the premier sporting franchises across the globe.
