After a disappointing series of performances, including a significant loss to the Sea Eagles, the senior players of the Broncos have defended coach Michael Maguire against criticisms regarding his coaching methods.
Under Maguire's leadership, the Broncos have seen a decline in form, losing six of their last seven games, which has caused them to fall out of the top eight ahead of a critical match against the Titans, marking Adam Reynolds' 300th NRL appearance.
Maguire took over from Kevin Walters this season, bringing a tougher approach to the team.
However, as expectations have not been met, there are suggestions that players may be feeling burnt out.
Critics have pointed to a lack of response from the playing group to Maguire's techniques.
In response, Broncos centre Kotoni Staggs challenged these claims, stating, "It's a load of crap.
You've got to train hard.
It's a very tough sport, and if you don't train hard, I don't think you're going to go far in this competition."
The players emphasized the need for continued belief in Maguire's abilities as a coach, stressing that the path to improvement involves hard work and commitment.
