Blake Mozer, a promising player for the Brisbane Broncos, has been advised to consider leaving the team following Cory Paix's recent re-signing.
This week, the Broncos decided to extend Paix's contract for an additional two years, keeping him with the team until 2028.
Although Paix has established himself as a viable first-grade option under coach Michael Maguire, many view Mozer as the franchise's future.
Initially, it seemed like Paix had played his final game for the Broncos during Kevin Walters' tenure.
Interest in Mozer has waned recently, despite his contract extension that lasts until the end of 2027, especially given that he has played only nine NRL games.
Injuries have hampered his progress, and it remains uncertain whether he would have received more playing time in the absence of injuries, considering competition from Ben Hunt, Billy Walters, and Tyson Smoothy before his exit.
At just 21, Mozer is eager for first-grade opportunities this season, although it may depend on injuries to others. With Billy Walters's contract ending after this season, former Broncos rake Andrew McCullough shared his thoughts on SEN Radio, suggesting that Mozer should contemplate a move.
McCullough stated, "Depending on Billy (Walters) and his situation, but I'm not too sure of Blake's contract and where he's at. But I reckon he's every chance of looking to go somewhere else."
