The Brisbane Broncos have kicked off the launch of their 2024 Indigenous Round jersey, designed by renowned North Stradbroke Island artist Delvene Cockatoo-Collins.

In a true display of teamwork, Broncos Indigenous players Kotoni Staggs, Ezra Mam, Selwyn Cobbo, Reece Walsh, Jordan Riki, and Tristan Sailor came together to create the 'Ancestor's Armour' jersey.

Drawing inspiration from the earthy tones of Quandamooka Country, the jersey pays homage to the Broncos' maroon and yellow colors.

Taking a page from the 2023 City Jersey, the design showcases the Brisbane River flowing out to the Bay, seamlessly transforming into a rugby league ball gripped tightly by players as they charge down the field to secure a try.

The back of the jersey captures the tough battle on the field with splashes of grass, mud, and dirt that symbolize the struggle faced by the opposition.

Throughout the design, Brigalow spears are subtly woven in, representing the historical trade between Quandamooka locals and their neighboring communities.

This jersey is not just a piece of clothing but a nod to the rich history and culture that defines the Broncos as a team.

Get ready to see the players don this striking jersey with pride as they take on the competition with determination and skill.
