The North Sydney Bears have released forward Ben Talty so he can pursue a full-time playing contract with the Brisbane Broncos.
Reports from zerotackle.com indicate that Talty, who debuted in 2019 with the Newcastle Knights in the NSW Cup, has played six individual seasons at that level over the past seven years, with the exception of the cancelled 2020 season.
Despite his experience in reserve grade, he has not yet made his NRL debut, participating only in three pre-season games throughout his career.
After spending time at the Newcastle Knights, where his participation in the reserve grade was inconsistent, Talty joined the Bears in Round 14 of the 2023 season.
He quickly became a regular player for the team.
The Bears announced his release on social media, confirming that he would be taking advantage of this new opportunity with the Broncos.
