The Brisbane Broncos have made another strategic move by signing a player from The Dolphins' junior ranks, adding a name that resonates with the club's history.

Following their previous acquisition of Michael Waqa and ongoing interest in Aublix Tawha, the Broncos have now brought in forward Nate Berrigan from The Dolphins academy.

Berrigan was part of the Redcliffe Dolphins team that reached the Under-18s Mal Meninga Cup Grand Final. Known for his exceptional work ethic, he was selected for Queensland's Under-15s team in 2022.

With the versatility to play in various positions, including centres, back-row, and lock, the Redcliffe State High School graduate looks to enhance his skills in the coming seasons.

This transition to the Broncos may pave the way for him to follow in the footsteps of his father and uncle, with aspirations to compete in the club's first-grade team.

His father, Barry Berrigan, played 32 matches for the Broncos between 2003 and 2005, in addition to making 24 appearances for the Canterbury Bulldogs.

On the other hand, his uncle Shaun Berrigan boasts a remarkable career with 186 games for the Broncos, securing two premierships in 2000 and 2006, along with representing both Queensland and Australia.
