The Brisbane Broncos are anxiously hoping each day that Payne Haas will agree to a contract extension. With recent developments indicating a new competitor is positioning itself to acquire his services, the club is on high alert.
Haas has established himself as a player deserving of all-time great status, especially after recently winning the NRL premiership, leaving him with little left to conquer.
This success likely adds to the allure of a multi-million dollar contract with R360, which, according to reports, is quite enticing for him.
Nonetheless, club chairman Karl Morris has implored Haas to reflect on his legacy with the Broncos and the unique opportunities that come with becoming a club legend, as the star prop considers the lucrative offer.
"We'll do the best to keep him," Morris told the Daily Telegraph.
"We want him to stay at the Broncos for the rest of his career. We want him to be one of the greats of the club and leave a legacy here."
