The Brisbane Broncos are set to keep one of rugby league's promising young talents, Cameron Bukowski, on their development list for the upcoming 2026 NRL season.

Currently under a development contract for this year, Bukowski is anticipated to continue his growth within the club, according to a report from The Courier-Mail. He is seen as the potential long-term No. 9 for the Broncos and has just wrapped up an impressive season.

His achievements include being selected for the Under-19s Queensland team and regularly starting for Wynnum Manly Seagulls in the Queensland Cup. Over the course of 23 matches, Bukowski demonstrated his prowess by scoring seven tries, contributing seven try assists, and making five line-break assists, in addition to 1,558 passes and 561 tackles at a remarkable efficiency rate of 94.4 percent. He also covered 801 total metres.

At only 20 years old and born in 2005, Bukowski might not debut in the next season, but his contract will provide him with valuable learning experiences alongside veterans like Ben Hunt, Billy Walters, Cory Paix, and fellow rising star Blake Mozer.

Beyond rugby league, Bukowski is a graduate of Villanova College, where he excelled in both cricket and rugby union, even serving as captain of the prestigious institution.

"I first started playing league at the age of six at Easts and was coached by Nathan Love, and he was great," he shared in an interview with The Courier-Mail in 2023.
