Broncos' Injury Update Ahead of World Club Challenge

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

The Brisbane Broncos have received a combination of positive and concerning updates as they prepare for the upcoming World Club Challenge.

According to 10 Sport, Ben Hunt has been training with the forwards, marking his transition to a more centralized playing role during this pre-season. This shift remains a significant topic of discussion in Brisbane's early preparations.

On a less favorable note, there are worries regarding Brendan Piakura, whose knee injury "didn't look good" after he sustained it during a training session yesterday. The extent of his injury is currently unconfirmed, but it will be monitored closely in the next few days.

On a brighter side, Reece Walsh and Patrick Carrigan have both returned to training. Carrigan has received clearance to participate in the World Club Challenge after undergoing a clean-out procedure on his thumb, and he has successfully completed training with the squad.
